BBB: Graham? no
Roo: Graham, who was dating that tiny little woman
and was partly gay
and dressed up as warhol

I do remember Graham, of course -- we were good friends. No idea how to reach him and I can't remember his last name, too many Grahams encountered since, all partially dissolved in my brain-rot. BTW, I don't think "partly gay" quite covers it; I recall he converted. He was a regular Sodom Hussein, always hangin' 'round those baathist houses and playing hide the weapon of mass...You get the idea.
Not to be too too pedantic, but I think you've misrepresented our conversation, dearest banjeroo. I replied, 'Graham? no' in response to whether I remembered his last name, not whether I remembered him (such is the misleading effect of chat time delay). I don't think I said, 'I remember him now' since I did instantly remember him.
But I'm commenting on this not b/c I am so keen to correct something so unimportant but to marvel at how well we remember people we knew only in passing about 13 years ago. I remember in exacting detail whole days spent doing virtually nothing when I was 20, whereas now, there are blocks of time months long where I recall nothing more than where I was living.
I really must be getting old, I am starting to feel nostalgia for my early twenties. Next I'll be saying outright lies, like, 'I had such fun as an adolescent!'
Yes, there's the time lag, and I just checked the IM archive and it DOES look like I added the "now"... Well whaddaya know, I am a liar!!! But the rest of the convo is as represented, and I DID interpret it as you not remembering him until I listed some quasi-qualifiers dahling....
